Tata Motors’ AutoMobility Collaboration Network – TACNet is a collaboration platform by Tata Motors, country’s largest automobile company, to engage with the start-up community and technology companies to spark innovative solutions in the automotive technologies and mobility ecosystem.
TACNet is a launch point for connecting aspiring mature start-ups with Tata Motors to solve existing and anticipated challenges in the cargo and people mobility.
At Tata Motors, we are on a mission to innovate mobility solutions with passion to enhance the quality of life. The objective of the TACNet is to develop a centre of AutoMobility innovation through partnerships for new technologies and/or business models and partnerships.
#TACNet: TACNet is a 3-P driven program starting from inviting #Participations from aspiring start-ups, to #Pitching of their business to the senior leadership at Tata Motors and then culminating into a potential for – strategic #Partnership and/or #Piloting a project alongside Tata Motors.
We are looking to collaborate with start-ups and technology companies – those who are either experiencing an early traction or in scale-up phase to solve existing pain points across cargo and people mobility ecosystem.
If you are a start-up with unique technology and/or business model that has potential to redefine the mobility ecosystem in the country, but still in early commercialization stage, we would love to hear from you!
Start-ups with expertise and innovative solutions and/or products in following focus areas or themes can apply for the TACNet 2.0.

Here's is what your pitch deck should contain to let the TACNet team gain a better understanding of your company.
Download the GuidelineIf you have a proven technology or product which has been tested in market and you are looking to partner with us, take a look at our opportunities and apply to pitch your startup and you may get a chance to collaborate with us, in either of following:
-Mentorship Opportunity with subject matter experts across functions
-Access to Tata Motors customer and user base for product/service evaluation/testing
-Funding as a strategic investor
-Opportunity for a paid pilot and/or;
-Data Access – data from vehicles, customers, operating environment for maturing the product/services
Once the applications are submitted in the first round, we will review the applications for a minimum of about 2-4 weeks to get to know more about your company and its offerings before we release a list of shortlisted companies eligible for the next round.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We will review the submitted applications periodically and send the shortlisted companies for the next round. The next round is the main program, which includes a 20 minute pitch where the Finalists would present their Products/Solutions to our panel of TATA Motors Management, followed by a short Q&A session.
Any technology and solutions-based company focused on the automobile and/or mobility services can apply for this Program. We would prefer start-ups that are in the growth stage with a proven technology or solution operating in one of the focus areas.
If you are a researcher, who has a working prototype of a well-developed solution, to enhance cargo and people mobility, please write to us at "R&D: Name of Product Category" as subject.
You can register your Company for this program by filling out our application form available on our website here. All the participating companies would also have to submit a Pitch Deck as per the stated guidelines (available here). Please do not submit any confidential information or trade secrets pertaining to your business at this stage of the Program.
The application details along with the data presented in the supporting Pitch Decks would be accessible only to the TATA Motors and its group employees, who will assist in further evaluating your application and assist us in taking decisions accordingly. The data shared / presented by you will not be published in the public domain.
Depending on the nature of our collaboration, after the first round, some form of contract will be required. At the stage of the application, your submissions shall be subject to our terms and conditions available on the application form page and privacy policy. Companies shortlisted to pitch to be part of the Program will be asked to enter into a non-disclosure agreement. Companies then selected to pilot or for mentorship will be required to enter into a separate contract on mutually agreed terms with TATA Motors, setting out the commercial terms of the pilot or mentorship. This will be outlined at the selection stage.
You will retain ownership of all protected intellectual property rights in and to your invention / submission, included in your application.
The TATA Motors’ TACNet is a platform to identify start-up companies across various domains within the Auto Mobility segment and promote collaborative growth. In the event that TATA Motors wishes to collaborate with a company following a successful pilot, both parties will enter into a new agreement on a case-by-case basis.
Absolutely! You are eligible to apply. In fact, the main objective of this Program is to help funded start-ups grow through the mentorship and guidance that we would provide to the eligible companies. We are on the lookout for start-up companies that have a product or service capable of bringing about an impact on the mobility services front.
No, you could be running your company from anywhere in the world, but should have operations in India or willing to operate in India. However, it is mandatory for the shortlisted start-up companies to be available for our final TACNet event that would be hosted either in Mumbai/Pune.
No, it is entirely Tata Motor’s discretion as to whether we enter into some partnership agreement with the company selected during the Program.
The final event would take place in Mumbai/Pune. The finalists would be required to be present in Mumbai/Pune. Participants would have to make their own provisions for travel and stay.
